Some Finnish universities have recently conducted a study of emotions, more exactly what you physically feel with different emotions.
Emotions are often felt in the body, and somatosensory feedback has been proposed to trigger conscious emotional experiences. Here we reveal maps of bodily sensations associated with different emotions using a unique topographical self-report method. In five experiments, participants (n = 701) were shown two silhouettes of bodies alongside emotional words, stories, movies, or facial expressions. They were asked to color the bodily regions whose activity they felt increasing or decreasing while viewing each stimulus. Different emotions were consistently associated with statistically separable bodily sensation maps across experiments. These maps were concordant across West European and East Asian samples. Statistical classifiers distinguished emotion-specific activation maps accurately, confirming independence of topographies across emotions. We propose that emotions are represented in the somatosensory system as culturally universal categorical somatotopic maps. Perception of these emotion-triggered bodily changes may play a key role in generating consciously felt emotions.

Pop quiz: which is more polluted, indoor air or outdoor air? 10 times out of 10, indoor air in your house, office or apartment is going to be worse than the air outside. Indoor air pollution has been ranked among the top 5 greatest risks to public health by the EPA, and stagnant indoor air allows pollutants to build up and stick to the things inside of your home.
The things in our homes emit some nasty toxic chemicals like formaldehyde for example. You can also be impacted by pollutants like pollen, bacteria, mould, and various outdoor contaminants that find their way inside.
Fortunately, houseplants can help us solve some of these air quality issues. Even if you don’t have a green thumb, these houseplants are basically impossible to kill. Let’s check them out! Article from http://simpleorganiclife.org/9-houseplants/
1. Garden MumThis plant was found by NASA to be a real air-purifying beast. It removes ammonia, benzene, formaldehyde, and xylene from your home’s air. It’s popular and inexpensive, plus they can be planted outside too.
2. Spider Plant
Spider plants are incredibly easy to grow, so if you’re a beginner, this is a great one to start with. It lights bright, indirect light and sends out shoots with flowers on them that will eventually grow into baby spider plants that you can propagate yourself. Before too long, you’ll have more spider plants than you’ll know what to do with.
3. DracaenaThere are over 40 kinds of dracaena plants, which makes it easy to find the right one for you. They remove benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, and xylene from the air. They are toxic to cats and dogs though, so if you have pets, you might want to think twice about this one.
4. FicusFicus trees are a favorite of mine as they are able to grow quite large depending on the type of pot you have them in. They typically stand between 2 and 10 feet tall and have some serious air cleaning abilities. You can also keep it outside in the spring and summer. The ficus removes benzene, trichloroethylene and formaldehyde from indoor air.
5. Peace LilyNot only does the peace lily send up beautiful flowers, but they’re impossible to kill and have great air cleaning abilities. They flower through most of the summer and prefer shady spots with moist but not soggy soil. It removes ammonia, benzene, formaldehyde and trichloroethylene.
6. Boston fern. This plant likes cool locations with high humidity and indirect light. Bathrooms are a perfect spot for these little friends. They remove pollutants like xylene and formaldehyde from indoor air.
7. Snake Plant/Mother-in-law’s Tongue.I see this one all over the place in offices and restaurants – and for good reason. They’re pretty much impossible to kill. They need water only occasionally and prefer drier conditions. They don’t need much direct sunlight either. They remove benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene and xylene from indoor air.
8. Bamboo PalmBamboo palms are most effective at filtering formaldehyde. They thrive in full sun and bright light. They grow as high as 12 foot too, making them an incredible presence indoors. They remove benzene, formaldehyde and trichloroethylene.
9. Aloe VeraAloe is a multi-use plant for sure. It has health benefits when consumed in smaller amounts, helps relieve burns, and cleans your indoor air as well. It removes formaldehyde effectively from indoor air.

Some Finnish universities have recently conducted a study of emotions, more exactly what you physically feel with different emotions.
When you're furious your feel your heart beat in your throat and feel tense, while experiencing a warm and mellow feeling when you're happy. The researchers asked subjects to indicate what they physically felt while experiencing certain emotions.
The researchers asked both Finnish, Swedish and Taiwanese subjects to draw a body picture of what they felt with certain emotions. Europeans and Taiwanese indicated that they felt the same portions of the body with the same emotions, so this phenomenon seems biologically rather than culturally determined.

Manifest Your Needs, Bring Positive Change in Your Life through Positive AffirmationsFirstly, to obtain the Positive Affirmations mentally you must understand what they are and how they work. If you believe you already know or you still want to skip this essential part, scroll down.
An affirmation is every word you say and every thought you think. Your days, on the whole, are filled with a stream of affirmations in the form of inner dialogue or self-talk. This flow of several affirmations shapes our life’s experiences each moment because we are at all times continually affirming subconsciously with our thoughts and our words. Each affirmation, by the way, is an inner truth or belief of what you say and think. Thus, positive affirmations can change your life.
To constantly create a more positive perception of yourself, you need to echo self-affirmations that are at all times positive. Because these affirmations can easily help you undo the damage caused by negative self-scripts, and they can also equally help you accomplish goals and change any harmful behaviors. Negative affirmations can easily sabotage your life and hinder you from achieving your goals and dreams especially if learned thought patterns are harmful and strong.
Deciding on the Content of Your Affirmations
For you to constantly think of positive affirmations, you have to think about your positive traits or attributes. Instead of dwelling on those negative things you would like to change, focus more on those positive things that you appreciate and admire about yourself. To exude confidence in life, you need to accept affirmations of who you want to become. Positive self-affirmations help you appreciate who you are. Break the cycle of negativity by keeping an inventory of attributes.

Dr. Masaru Emoto, a researcher and alternative healer from Japan has given the world a good deal of evidence of the magic of positive thinking. He became famous when his water molecule experiments featured in the 2004 film, What The Bleep Do We Know? His experiments demonstrate that human thoughts and intentions can alter physical reality, such as the molecular structure of water. Given that humans are comprised of at least 60% water, his discovery has far reaching implications… can anyone really afford to have negative thoughts or intentions?
A group of approximately 2,000 people in Tokyo focused positive intentions toward water samples located inside an electromagnetically shielded room in California. That group was unaware of similar water samples set aside in a different location as controls. Ice crystals formed in both sets of water samples, yet only certain kinds of formations were present within the water they were concentrating on. That group was unaware of similar water samples set aside in a different location as controls.
Ice crystals formed from both sets of water samples were blindly identified and photographed by an analyst, and the resulting images were blindly assessed for aesthetic appeal by 100 independent judges. In conclusion, the present pilot results are consistent with a number of previous studies suggesting that intention may be able to influence the structure of water. Here is a photo of the effects direct states of conscious intention had on the structure of water.

Every year, tens of thousands of people from all over the world become interested in the life work of one ordinary man. He was an average individual in most respects: a loving husband, a father of two children, a skilled photographer, a devoted Sunday School teacher, and an eager gardener. Yet, throughout his life, he also displayed one of the most remarkable psychic talents of all time. His name was Edgar Cayce.
For forty-three years of his adult life, Edgar Cayce demonstrated the uncanny ability to put himself into some kind of self-induced sleep state by lying down on a couch, closing his eyes, and folding his hands over his stomach. This state of relaxation and meditation enabled him to place his mind in contact with all time and space. From this state he could respond to questions as diverse as, "What are the secrets of the universe?" to "How can I remove a wart?" His responses to these questions came to be called "readings" and contain insights so valuable that even to this day individuals have found practical help for everything from maintaining a well-balanced diet and improving human relationships to overcoming life-threatening illnesses and experiencing a closer walk with God.

Purple: indicates spiritual thoughts. Purple is never a strong point in the Aura. It appears only as temporary “clouds” and “flames”, indicating truly spiritual thoughts. Can also be the colors of one who is seeking something in life. They represent an ability to handle affairs with worldliness and practicality. Dark shades may show that the person has obstacles to overcome and is feeling misunderstood.
Blue: Balanced existence, sustaining life, eased nerve system, transmitting forces and energy. People with blue strong point in their Aura are relaxed and balanced. This color is most commonly associated with quiet and calm. Any blue in the aura is good to have, but deep blue is the best. One with deep blue in their aura shows a person who has found their work in life. Many are spiritual minded as well. Blue may sometimes represent a tendency to be moody and depressed. Electric blue can override any other color in the Aura when a person is learning and/or teaching.
Turquoise: indicates dynamic quality of being, highly energized personality, capable of projection, influencing other people. People with turquoise strong point in their Aura can do many things simultaneously and are good organizers. They feel bored when forced to concentrate on one thing. People love bosses with turquoise Auras, because such bosses explain their goals and influence their team rather than demand executing their commands.
Green: restful, modifying energy, natural healing ability. All natural healers should have it. People with a green strong point in their Auras are natural healers. The stronger the green Aura, the better the healer. They also love gardening and usually have a “green hand” – anything grows for them. Being in a presence of a person with a strong and green Aura is a very peaceful and restful experience. However, dark shades of green can indicate one who is jealous or uncertain.
Yellow: joy, freedom, non-attachment, freeing or releasing vital forces. People who glow yellow are full of inner joy, very generous, and not attached to anything. Yellow halo around the head: high spiritual development. A signature of a spiritual teacher. Can also indicate mental activity, optimism. It can mean new learning opportunities and wisdom. A golden yellow means that the person takes care of themselves. Ruddy yellow may mean that its owner is shy.
Orange: uplifting and absorbing. Inspiring. A sign of power. Ability and/or desire to control people. When orange becomes a strong point, it usually contributes to a yellow halo, which then becomes gold, indicating not only a spiritual teacher, but someone capable of demonstrating their unique abilities. This is a color of warmth, thoughtfulness, and creativity. The muddier shades may represent pride or vanity, while golden orange denotes self-control. A person with orange in their aura may suffer from kidney ailments.
Red: materialistic thoughts, thoughts about the physical body. Predominantly red Aura indicates materialistically oriented person. Typically, the color of strength, strong passion, and will. Dark red may symbolize one who has a quick temper and is nervous or impulsive. All red relates to nervous tendencies.
Pink: love (in a spiritual sense). To obtain a clean pink, it’s a mix of purple (the highest frequency we perceive) with red (the lowest frequency). Pink Aura indicates that the person achieved a perfect balance between spiritual awareness and the material existence. The most advanced people have not only a yellow halo around the head (a permanent strong point in the Aura) but also a large pink Aura extending further away. The pink color in the Aura is quite rare and typically appears as temporary, never as a strong point in the Aura. It represents compassion, and possibly a love of art and beauty. Darker or muddier shades of pink may point to an individual who is immature.
Brown: can be unsettling, distracting, materialistic, negating spirituality. When this color is more of a glow, it can also reflect a person who is very “earthy”; the person is establishing new roots; or centered with themselves or surroundings. However, if seen in the chakras, it may mean that a person’s energy is in some way being blocked.
Gray: dark thoughts, depressing thoughts, unclear intentions, temporary presence of a darker side of the owner’s personality.
Silver Lights or Twinkles: Seeing these in a person’s aura may mean that they are, will be, or have recently been pregnant. However, this is not always so. Seeing this may indicate a person who has great creativity in their life.
Black Spots: The presence of black spots in the aura may indicate that it is unbalanced in some areas. This may mean that the person has some negative habits that he or she should work on. Meditation helps reduce these spots, as does things like exercise and sunlight. If they persist, psychiatric help may be needed.
White: Many times this is one of the first colors that can be observed in an aura, but when it is a true and strong color of the aura, it reflects purity and truth. However, it can also indicate a serious disease or artificial stimulation (drugs). Why does the white color in the Aura sometimes indicate problems? White color is like a noise, rather than a set of harmonious tones (monochromatic colors). It is impossible to “tune” the noise to an orchestra playing harmonious music, hence the white Aura indicates a lack of harmony in the body and mind. Nature, which we are a part of, is harmonious. This harmony comes in discrete vibration “tones” or harmonics, partially described by the modern quantum physics.
Several hours before death, the Aura becomes white, and greatly increases in intensity. For this reason in most cultures “death” is depicted in WHITE (not black).
